Becca Balint was born in a U.S. Army hospital in Heidelberg, Germany, and lives in Brattleboro, Vermont. Balint earned a bachelor's degree from Smith College, a master's degree in education from Harvard University in 1995, and a master's degree in history from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2001. Her career experience includes working as a teacher in public and private schools.
